PRACTICE / CREDIT & CAPITAL
Credit & Capital
Structuring, funding and recovery across property and private credit.
For lenders, capital providers, mortgage managers, developers and property businesses.
THE PROPOSITION
Specialist support on the credit decisions and capital structures behind a transaction — for the parties lending and the parties borrowing.
WHEN CLIENTS ENGAGE
- Structuring a complex property, construction or development transaction.
- Preparing a credit case or lender submission for a funding decision.
- Placing debt or negotiating terms with new funding counterparties.
- Developing a wholesale funding or warehouse strategy.
- Working through a facility approaching maturity or a credit position under pressure.
THE APPROACH
Creditwright starts with the commercial purpose of the transaction — what needs to happen over the life of the facility, which milestones matter and what still depends on a future decision. The credit case is built around that story rather than a headline number.
From there the work moves to structure and funding: shaping the facility, security, drawdown and repayment pathway into one coherent proposition, preparing a submission a credit team can assess, and engaging suitable funding counterparties.
Where a position becomes difficult, the same discipline applies to options and recovery. Enforcement is approached as commercial strategy and coordination — establishing the current facts and realistic pathways alongside appropriately appointed legal and insolvency specialists, not in place of them.
WHAT THE WORK COVERS
TYPICAL DELIVERABLES
- A credit assessment of the transaction
- A funding strategy and target counterparties
- A transaction structure and indicative terms
- A lender submission or credit paper
- An options or position review
THE EXPERIENCE BEHIND IT
This practice is led by George Khoury, whose experience was formed inside a lending business. As co-founder and inaugural CEO of Assetline Capital, his responsibilities extended from product development and capital relationships to credit committee participation and recovery strategy with external solicitors.
In prior roles George originated more than $2B in private debt transactions, and the Assetline platform’s transaction history exceeded $5B. These are separate, prior-role measures — they are not additive, and they are not Creditwright results.
HOW AN ENGAGEMENT STARTS
An engagement usually begins with a diagnostic review of the transaction or position. Scope, responsibilities, deliverables and fees are agreed before any work begins.

PERSPECTIVE · PROPERTY & CONSTRUCTIONA funding structure should tell the whole story.
The purpose, timing and repayment pathway deserve a place in the conversation from the outset.
PERSPECTIVE · RESTRUCTURING & RECOVERYWhen the plan changes, the conversation must too.
A difficult credit position calls for a current set of facts and a clear division of responsibilities.
Credit & Capital starts with a conversation.
