Building a lending product and national origination capability

How George Khoury built a construction-lending product and a five-state origination network from inside a lending business.

Prior-role experience — Assetline Capital / AltX Financial Group

CASE NOTES

THE CONTEXT

Assetline Capital set out to build a private lending business with a genuine construction-lending capability and origination reach across the country.

THE ROLE

George Khoury co-founded the business and served as its inaugural CEO and Managing Director, and later as Executive Director and Founder of construction lending — with responsibility spanning product, credit structuring, P&L and board-level strategy.

THE WORK

The work brought a lending product together end to end: designing a construction product that made sense for borrowers, met the lender’s credit requirements and worked within funding-partner expectations; developing institutional investor and wholesale funding relationships; and building national origination coverage across five states through people and relationships.

WHAT WAS DELIVERED

In these prior roles George originated more than $2B in private debt transactions, and the Assetline platform’s transaction history exceeded $5B. These are separate prior-role measures — not additive, and not Creditwright results. The durable capability is a lending product and origination network built and led first-hand.

WHY IT MATTERS TO A CLIENT

For a lender or capital provider building or extending a proposition, this is direct experience of the same problem — aligning product, credit and funding into something a national origination effort can actually sell and execute.
